EC IL | Not too many rolling yet around here but several thousand acres done I'd guess. Couple whole field averages well over 200. Have only heard of one that was under 200. Really low laying field with poor drainage and fall NH3. Still went 186.
Looks like a lot of people (farmers included) are in for a pleasant surprise.
Still wetter than I care to pick though, Running around 25%. We had one 80 that was early planted and was in the low 20's went 217... The next 80 we started on was in the mid 20's so we ground to a halt. Looks like it's going to be 200 plus as well. From what I'm hearing the May planted stuff is not nearly as far off as most predicted. Maybe 10-15 bushel based on what we know so far.
Could have been better for sure. We trimmed some off the top no doubt. That said, whole farm averages around 200 is a pretty decent year "here".
Soys that have come off so far (early planting dates and early maturities) are super. 60 plus seems to be the norm.. Later planted and full season beans will "worse" no doubt. We'll be finding out about those in a week or so. | |
