Subject: Making the precision jump

SC Kansas
We are making the jump into precision technology, and want to do it right. Starting with a tractor capabible of doing it first-either a Massey 8650 or JD 8235r. Equipment wise, we don't have a drill or planter capable. Of doing any variable rate or shutoff, but a new drill capable of doing some of that would be next. We have a great plains box drill now. We've always been Agco but have found a good deal on the JD, and have and will probably get a white planter next time. Question is, which tractor and technology would b better? I trust JD's track record and have used their 2600 monitor in combines and sprayers. I know nothing about Topcon.
