Is it possible to pull the speed signal from the Cruizer II to the factory 230 controller?

I'm running the 230 Coupe with the factory in dash monitor and a Cruizer II for guidance.  The Cruizer II speed always seems to be more accurate when speeding up and slowing down while the factory in dash unit has a nice sized delay.  It's currently pulling speed from the wheel sensor and when up to speed the two units stay within a tenth or two of each other until I throttle down, a hill pulls the speed down, or I speed up.

I'm not sure how big of an effect this lag has on the rate control, but seeing the speed difference annoys me and the wheel sensors could take a dive at any time so I'm looking at the options.
