| I'm looking at a SPX 4260 with a Viper Pro and Smartrax 3D in it. I know guys have had trouble in the past with Smartrax steering well. I've also read about some updates to them and some are saying they work now. Is anyoen running a fully updated 3D right now that is working well. I want to be able to spray corn hands free like I can with my current sprayer on RTK and the dealership isn't giving me a warm, fuzzy that if I upgrade the receiver to RTK that i'll be able to row corn. Basically they are just saying it might work it might not...well thats great for them but i'm not going to spend 8K on the chance that it might work.
Who has a large frame Case Sprayer that can spray corn rows hands free and what are you using for guidance? I have a trimble FMX on RTX in my main tractor that works great. I can sidedress corn at 12mph with 25" belts with no trouble except where the planter drifted downhill. I would like the same performance out of this new machine. | |
