Subject: USB GPS signal to Virtual Com Port

Dayton, IA
I about half understand what I want to do, but this is what I think I need. I have a Garmin GPS (Oregon 450) that has different settings. I can set the Interface to Garmin Spanner or NMEA In/Out. I think one of these should send NMEA data through my USB cable to a tablet. I need NMEA data on a com port to get GPS for Farmworks Sitemate program. My tablet has no com port and is running on Windows 8. I think I need some type of program that will make Farmworks recognize my USB as a com port but I am not sure how to where to find a program or app to do this.

Thanks for the help

A.J.
