This is the second time in as many weeks as I have found the gas caps off of both tractors and tanks EMPTY. I take pride in keeping everything topped off and ready to run, although neither tractor gets much use beyond maneuvering equipment around larger sheds or hayrides these days.
I plan to bait the thieves after catching them on a trail-cam this weekend. Hoping a 5-gallon can of "GAS" will be too tempting for them to pass up. My question: What to mix in the gasoline to ensure that it completely destroys whatever they attempt to run it in?? I've been told sugar and egg whites but I'm always open to suggestions...
Oh and please spare me the "keep 'em in a locked shed" and "why would you have gas in a seldom used tractor" comments |
