North Central Montana (Conrad) | What is everyones thoughts on burning off the stubble with fire? A few around here do it. Mainly under irrigation. I am not a big fan of it, first of all for the fact of fire. Not a fan of starting a fire on purpose in a big area when the weather can change in an instant. I also think it is a big loss on organic matter and erosion protection. Does anyone know if the heat sterlizes the soil as well? |
