Just how much actual yield increase are you seeing after spreading high calcium lime and how soon is it apparent that it is working? Is the difference in soil structure from the added calcium that apparent and a thing that changes soon also?

I have always just used what I produce at work and wonder just how much I'm giving up, if anything.
FWIW, what I produce is 19.3% Ca and 10.5% Mg., 101% CCE, 100% passing a #8 sieve and 39% passing a #60 sieve. An average soil test on my ground runs 487 ppm Mg and 2130 ppm Ca.

Am I messing up by not trucking in high calcium like most in the neighborhood?

I am a bit slow at change I guess, I still plant corn in wide row's and have survived to this point.

I am truely interested in your experience on this with all I've read on here over the years.

Thanks for taking time to respond, Joe
