Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49 | Only had two heifers to calve this spring and I try to get them amonth earlier than my cows. A week ago Monday the first one calved and two day at 2:30 pm. the second one calved. They both have heifer calves on side, hope they are good one's because I would like to put them back in the herd. The one that calved today , which is the first 2 pic. She is from cows I bought when I started farming back in the 70's. So some where she is from my Short Horn Main cows and I have always been partial to them . I now will have another generation.
Also have included a pic. of me grinding rye with my ver. tub mixer and putting it in my commodity shed part of my feeding barn.
Sorry about showing off but I am enjoying my new feeding shed and ver. tub mixer. This seems tobe making it easer for me and my wife and we are hopeing to stay in cattle a few more years because of our investment.
