East Central Ohio | Inherited my FIL's 1020 that their family bought new in the late 60's. It's been a dairy tractor, used for everything under the sun, and has seen better days. FIL said last summer the PTO would grind when you were putting it in.....said you had to shove the clutch as far as it would go and "slip it in"...and it would still grind. Well after a while, as would be expected, no more PTO. The lever that engages the PTO can be thrown back and forth with no resistance. Anybody have any idea what might be broke inside? I've only ever split a tractor once, and I'm thinking that to fix the PTO that'll probably be required, but I'd like to fix it this winter. Any ideas on what I'm dealing with? Thanks! | |
