Subject: Mounting a grain body, any tips?

SC Kansas
Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be mounting a 20' on a ex highway truck. Is it still the common practice to lay 1x4" on top of the frame rail to bush up around the hoist and keep the rattle down? I was thinking maybe poly strips.

The bed is used and has a hoist attached, I guess start at the rear of the truck frame and notch in the pivot point. Then cut the tabs for the pivot off the bed stringers and set the bed where I want it a go. Then go from there. I have done it before but, its been a few years.

Should I box the rear frame at the pivot point to add some surface area?
