I removed the power divder axle from my motorhome truck. I moved the rear axle forward and drilled new holes to shorten this thing up quite a bit. It's time for a driveline. The rear axle uses a tapered spring perch to angle the pinion up slightly, I ssume for use with the interaxle short driveline.

 So the question is, now that the rear axle in the only driver, do I still use the tapered perch or use the flat perch from the power divider axle? As it is, if I use the tapered perch, the pinon yoke angle is such that both u-joints will operate at slightly different angles. The interaxle drive shaft also ran with both u-joints at different operating angles, so.........? If I use the flat perch, both u-joints will operate at similar angles, but the angles will be steeper by a few degrees as the pinion is lower than the power divider.
