Central IL | I have a 16 row redball i purchased last year. Last fall I was very satisfied with my bean ground strips, but struggled with corn on corn. This year my residue management was much better but with bad luck my last fields harvested are going back to corn and the amount of shredded cornstalks are still giving me fits. I have several questions so please bear with me....
1. On the residue managers, will changing the pivot point, staggering the managers allow trash to flow through better?
2. If I took the shark tooth yetters off of my planter and swapped them on my strip bar would that help on coc and high residue situations?
3. What is the ideal angle for the closing disc/hillers?
4. Any way to prevent rootball plugging on the small front gauge wheels?
Any tips appreciated. Thanks | |
