Subject: LP Grill/cooker Help

Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass
Ok...was going to have a fish fry this weekend...remembered everything except checking the 20# bottles for gas. Both I had close were too close to empty to start the job. Tore apart a LP heater to rob the hose to make an extension to hook the turkey cooker burner up to a 100# bottle I had around. Have been thinking for a while I'd like to fix up an extension hose to run stuff from that bigger tank.

The quick work around this weekend used 2 regulators as I had to piece stuff together. Pretty sure not 100% compatible as the burner wouldn't burn as high as normal. The heater is a on/off unit so uses a fixed pressure regulator, cooker uses a regulator with a knob to adjust the heat.

the plan: Get the POL fitting, 15' of LP hose, and a fitting off one of those steak saver kits to hook into the existing regulator on the turkey cooker, grill or really any LP device that normally hooks to a tank

questions:
1) On my extension hose...should I have a regulator coming off the tank?
2) any reason why this won't work?
