Paola, KS | Waiting on the custom choppers, should be here tomorrow or the following day. Went and scouted corn fields today, its amazing how fast they dry down in this consecutive 100+ heat. I have a 40 acre tract in particular that doesn't have much for ears. It went from still having some decent color 5 days ago to all the leaves being brown today. We plan on bagging and inoculating, but I wanted to ask for other experiences. Is this corn to dry to ensile just because all the leaves are brown or do I still have some hope within a short window? | |
