Subject: I need help spreading straw more evenly and across full width of header on case combine

Merkel, TX

I'm running a 36' header on a 2188 with a chopper... I put the more aggressive spreader bats on but it just wouldn't do it... I also took those rubber pieces off the back thinking it would make a difference but no luck... I think it just won't do it. Anyone have any tips or experiences they would like to share?

Is it possible to modify a John Deere chopper and put it on in place of spreaders? Or is there an aftermarket attachment to help out with this?
