Subject: Sorghum or sorghum-sudangrass in dry conditions?

Adrian MI
Which has more silage yield potential when its this dry? We've always planted sorghum-sudangrass in the past and had decent yields in dry years(compared to corn for silage). But this year we've had to replant a lot of our sorghum-sudangrass fields seeded this spring as it germinated but never made it out of the ground. Just looking for something to give us the most tons per acre. It will be planted after wheat and some after corn gets chopped off, if we don't get any rain shortly.
We would plant sorghum with our corn planter in 15" or 30" rows and usually drill sorghum-sudangrass.

Thanks.
Jason
