N FLA | Checking the corn planted March 6th. Shown in the pic is 5 consecutive ears from P2023. Usually we do well above 200. I did not takemany stand counts, butused 31k. Planted at 32k. I estimated 172 bushels. shown on the left. I was a little disturbed maybe I cut corners or the pump going down hurt. So I checked a farm field that I work with on some very good soil, had a Cadillac treatment. DK6788. It is on the right, he plants at 29k
This is my irrigation research plots, so don't think I'm singing the blues about it. Just sharing the observation. I will do some better st and counts and collect a larger sample size later.
