Subject: manure pit full after 5+" rain

Kaukauna WI
Couldn't get our pit emptied before the rain on Thursday because our land was never dry enough yet this spring to haul. We were ready to haul the day before the big rain, but the equipment was sitting at some other customer and they weren't done there yet........our pit was never full before, and we still have 2-3 weeks of more manure to add to it before we can get in the fields, and that's without any more rain. Had to call a bulldozer yesterday and put a bunch of clay on the cement ramp where it was just starting to leak out. He made it pretty deep, but he said clay on clay would have been much better.

Have any of you had any experience with this? Can we expect this remedy to last a month?
