Subject: MF 1135

East Central Minnesota
I'm looking at buying a MF 1135 for a haying & light tillage tractor. I am wondering about the PTO; I see them listed as a 1000, but there are stub shafts you can switch out to make it a 540. Is that a full conversion? Meaning would it be similar to flipping the shaft around on my Case 2090? Or is it more of an adapter and I would have to run at a reduced rpm?

Any positive or negatives about these tractors? I have also looked a bit at a couple White 2-135/2-105's and IH 1086's, would they be a better choice?

Thanks
