London, Ontario, Canada | Is there a product that will seal those annoying oil leaks that you have on seldom used equipment. I think the seals dry out from lack of constant use and then when you do use them they weep. I know you probably should put in new seals but on some cylinders and gear boxes that get little use I wondered if that new TV commercial with the waterproof black sealant in a can would work? Does anyone else have a suggestion? Do you think a spray on silicone would work if there was such a thing?
These things don't usually have any pressure associated with them but it's the oil I believe that affects the products when applied. Is silicone resistant to oil? | |
