Subject: Dairy manure Biomass postives and negatives

Southeastern NM
A group of about 25 plus dairies have formed a coop and plan on using their manure to 1) create energy, which they will sell to the local power company, 2) create a peet moss like product, which will be sold to farm and garden outlets and 3) fertlizer (waste water created and settled at the facility) which they plan on selling to the local farmers to be disbursed using Sprinkler or flood irrigation. My question is has anyone had any experience with the "fertlizer"? The COOP is looking to sign farmers up on a multiyear contract totaling 6,000 acres. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. They want to break ground May 1, and are wanting the farmers to decide if they want to sign up their acerage as soon as possible.

Thanks.
