For those of you working with actively steered planters, what are you finding as the most practical solution considering cost, complexity, stress on the planter, etc.?

  1. Towed planter with a 2-point hitch + a sliding or swinging 3-point hitch on the tractor (e.g.- Navigator, Sukup, Sunco, MBW, etc.)
  2. Towed planter + a hydraulic drawbar on the tractor (e.g.- OEM, MBW, etc.)
  3. Towed planter + active coulters on the planter (e.g.- Orthman)
  4. Integral planter + active coulters on the planter
  5. Integral planter + sliding 3-point hitch on the tractor
