Northeast Nebraska | Has anyone out there built or fabricated their own stalk stomper or smasher in front of tractors and corn planters? I was at a no-till meeting yesterday and they had a tire company there to talk about stalk damage. They are trying everything but those stalks are like bamboo poles or sometimes rebar. He said they had more tire complaints when the cornheads came out to cut these stalks down to stumps. I don't have one of these but I've had enough flats on tractors and equipment to try and bend them over before the tires hit them dead on. I'd like some pictures if anyone made anything for tractors and planters. thanks | |
