Subject: Precision Farm concave with shelborne stripper header

SE Virginia
I just got a JD 9560 STS that I will run a Shelborne Stripper header on in wheat. I need to buy a concave (machine came with only round bar), and have been looking at the extra narrow spacing concave from Precision Farm Parts. Does anyone have experience with this concave behind a stripper header? Shelborne recommends running cover plates with the JD small wire concave to keep material in the threshing area longer. PFP says that their narrower spacing eliminates the need for the cover plates. Sounds good in theory, but theory doesn't put grain in the tank.
