Subject: Orthman Implement Steering

The black sand beaches of Jamaica, IL
I have an old Orthman 16 row pull-type cultivator with their tracker implement steering system that uses the 4 large disks at the rear for steering that are guided by metal whiskers to sense the rows. I've seen that some other companies are using the same Orthman steering disk setup driven by GPS for steering. We're probably realistically not going to use this cultivator ever again. My question is: Would the steering disk setup have any value seperately for someone who wants to try and outfit the hardware with new electronics to drive with GPS or just try to sell the cultivator as one unit? We just don't have any need for implement steering anymore since we're no longer cultivating and not doing strip till.
