Subject: cutting alafala for seed

Northern NE Panhandle
Anyone on here have any experience cutting alfalfa seed? We have a field on a farm we bought a few years ago that was put into CRP probably 20 yrs ago and has been hayed or grazed since it came out. It looks like it was farmed into 3 strips and two of the three have a pretty decent stand of alfalfa. We hayed the ground on the 15th of June and where there was alfalfa it came back pretty nice. I'd like to combine the seed and then notill it into the poorer stands. Is it possible to cut this with a 9500 JD without any add on's ? I cut some once with a 510 MF and the sample was hard to knock clean seed out of the pods.
