Subject: Old mixed RU still kills stuff.

Baldwin City, KS
From time to time, I have seen on here where guys wondered if roundup was still effective if it had sat mixed for an extended period of time. A couple of years ago, I drained 150 gal that was mixed for 26 oz Touchdown @ 10gpa, into some 2.5 gal jugs. They sat around and got floaters so I really didn't want to dump them back into the sprayer. A week ago, I ran across them and dumped them into the 4 wheeler sprayer and got rid of them in the driveway and around several trees, etc. My kind of weedeating.
I just looked out the window this morning and saw that it has worked everywhere. Two years old, went through two winters, and mixed for field spraying. There is your answer to whether it stays effective after being mixed for a long time. Trust me, I had no idea that it would still be good at all.
Warning: This study applies to glyphosate only. I'm certain that if you leave Degree Extra or Lexar in the sprayer for two years, you just call the junk man to come and get the thing.
