Subject: Malleefarmer...what are the mice doing to your crops..?

Blvd d'Espair Bowhill, Sth Aust

I see one of your neighbours getting some national press coverage, though it isnt about crop damage...Also it's the usual  press coverage..inaccurate and careless with facts..   I guess i  can't know for sure how   much care and accuracy  there was in the "facts" given to them in turn ,  so need to be careful  who I blame,   but if nothing else it's obvious  it's a serious situation.

or  here..    http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/mice-so-hungry-they-chew-on-pigs/story-e6frea6u-1226064727601

They are getting into my cereals  before and  as they emerge pretty seriously,  but so far seem to be leaving my canola largely alone...I dont quite figure why that is, when my neighbour appears to have  a major  canola disaster on his hands,  which I understand  he is attributing at least in part to mice  ( although i havent spoken to him aboiut it myself)
I know he baited there  immediately post seeding...

I'm hearing widely varying reports of the  value in baiting  crops...some think it's very beneficial, and some have  lost the crop anyway..
