Subject: Viper Pro and GS2 1800

South Georgia
I posted about doing variable rate on some lime and fertilizers. Well after talking to Newton Crouch, they are suggesting using a Viper Pro to control the spreader and keep the 1800 to do the auto-steer. Or I can upgrade to a GS2 2600 and would have to have a Raven scs 660 to control the spreader with the 2600 telling it what to put. What would your suggestions be, either one will cost about the same to do. Should I use a Viper Pro to control the spreader or upgrade to a 2600 with a scs 660 controller? What have you used that worked good?

If the suggestion is to keep the 1800 and use a Viper Pro, how can I hook the Viper to the GS2 to get its gps signal also? Local deere dealer said that I would have to run another wire from the globe down, is there a way to hook it up in the cab at the 1800 without the two systems messing each other up?

Thanks for any and all help with this, trying to get the something that will work and not cause problems.
