Have a Case Magnum ( MX255 MX285 ) that was constantly having the gauges shut down and come back on, and the screen would say that the engine controller was offline. Engine would still start, run, rev up and the gears would shift.
Ended up changing the Passive Terminator right under the airfilter housing inside that door. Fixed it right away. Case Parts manual Electrical 04-05 Harness - Chassis, part number 16 (397496A1).
At $60 CAD, its worth a try before getting some expensive service call even on the road!
