| today the hired help moved a tractor 10 miles from the shop to a farm...i then got on the tractor this afternoon to run the phillips harrow...about 3 hrs into i noticed "sparks" from under the hood...shut motor down and opened hood and there was a huge bird's nest blazing. was dialing 911 when i realized a left a 16 oz bottle of water to put fire out with...guess i could have put it out with loose dirt, but the little bottle of water saved the day...dont think it burnt and wires bc it cranked back and everything was working ok, might have burnt a fuel line, looked like a little fuel leaking down from top of motor.
tractor was a MX 200...fire ext is going back in cab tommorrow!!! | |
