Subject: 2 computers, 1 printer

West Union, Illinois

I have a printer shared between a desktop and a laptop.  I've also got a USB hub I'm not using.  Can I hook the hub up "backwards", use it to plug both computers into one printer or will that cause a problem?

My initial thought was "Let's plug it in and see!" But then I remembered USB connections have power on one of the terminals, and thought maybe I should ask someone first.  Hooking up a jumper cable to a couple old tractors is one thing.  Hooking up a jumper cable to a couple computers is something else.

So, can I plug 2 computers into one hub and then plug the hub into the printer and get everything to work and not blow something up?
