Subject: Tool Boxes

I have an old pickup tool box that a friend gave me that I want to put on my old truck. The only problem is that the latch release is a button-style push knob and it is seized up. I've tried penetrating oil, soaking it in oil, using a little persuasion, nothing works. So I thought I would just buy new ones. Easy to take out once I got the lid open, just a clip in the back. I'm pretty sure it's a Delta brand, so I get Delta's phone # off the internet and call them. First thing they want to know is what is the model number. Well, it's an old tool box with no model number. Sorry can't help you. Also been to Tractor Supply and Rural King, sol. So my question to you guys is how can I fix it? What do I call the push button in order from somewhere else or anybody got any redneck engineering ideas on how to fix it? TIA.

Tim
