Ludington/Manistee MI area | In 5 brand plot on our farm Dk 30-20 won the plot as well as a couple other plots around us. It was not only the heighest yeild but far dryer than most best test weights also. We are crediting some of its sucess to the fact that it is earlier than the rest of the competitors in a plot that was planted late and in a cool growing season(actually got ripe). I'm curious how it has preformed for others? A competitor salesman claim DK corn doesn't tolerate dry weather well is that true? Does DK really dry down better than others as their ads claim? We haven't planted DK corn outside the plot since the mid 90's. |
