Subject: House heating machinery

Pampa, Tx
The furnace went out tonight, we started smelling gas and the smoke and CO detectors starting squealing. The wife call the fire department and they came and determined that the firebox had cracked and let fumes in the house. I guess we kinda got lucky as the CO levels were really high, so now I have to get a new furnace. The furnace is an 83 model and is natural gas, it also has an outside ac unit.

Now with what do I need to look for in a new furnace and what will this cost me???? Any help will be appeciated.
