| On my bermuda grass hay fields,I would like to plant a clover cover crop to build the soil,in the spring should I just cut it and let it decompose into the ground for organic matter and then let my bermuda grass come up through it and hopefully by the first cutting it will be gone and not interfere with the hay. Or would it be better to take the disc and set the blades straight and run over it and tear it up and push it to the ground to decompose?I do have some grass that is not tall enough to cut and the frost is going to kill it anyway(so much rain this fall want be able to bale it anyway) would it be good to cut it or lightly disc it in for organic matter. That is my main goal is to add some organic matter to the soil each year since continual hay production is hard on the ground. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks | |
