South Central MN | Just wondering what people are running into as far as mold on their corn out in the field. I just looked at one of our later fields, and it is starting to show mold on the outside of the kernel, just one or two kernels per ear. At what stage do elevators reject the corn? One elevator we talked to said that sometimes a trip through the dryer will eliminate the mold. Any truth to this? Are there different types of mold to worry about? Thanks. | |
