Subject: Bean Harvest and Wet Weather

Dixon Springs, IL
I think I have already answered my own question, but figured I will ask anyway. I have 70 acres of beans that are ready to cut. Over the past week our area has received 3.5+ inches of rain. I am trying to avoid rutting the field up as I would like to no-till corn on this same farm next year (the ground is rolling), however, they are calling for a chance rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. Beans test somewhere around 13%. I think I am going to go ahead and get them while I can and worry about my ruts later. If anyone sees a reason I shouldn't, let me know. I know there are alot of others in the same boat. Everyone have a safe harvest.
