Subject: Planning a hay barn

Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
Looking for tips on a new barn, the one I am using right now is too small and not really a good barn, needs a considerable amount of work, plus not designed right. So far, what I would like to do is build a 3 sided barn, open to the east. Will be protected by the grain bins. Would like to put an overhang on each side to stack round bales. Thinking I would like to put a capped ridge on it to get some ventilation into this barn. Also would like to bed the floor with something like gravel or rock, to allow for some drainage from the stack, would be above a dirt/clay floor so the water should get away. What am I overlooking here? Anybody got a suggestion I could use. Keep in mind I am in the humid South. TIA any advice.
