Subject: blowing on rye

SW of Enid OK
For years I have had the coop "blow" on wheat/rye for pasture and then I would disc and harrow it lightly in. This was on ground that was already chem fallow or grazed through the summer. Has anyone spread it on corn ground after picking and just let it settle down through the residue without working it in? I'm primarly NT now, so would like to not disturb much cover. There will be quite a bit of crabgrass residue and stalks for it to settle through.
Thanks
