2-3lbs lean/extra lean ground beef (otherwise you have a lot of fat runoff) 1/2 cup finely diced onion 1/2 cup finely diced green pepper 1/4 cup finely sliced celery (optional) 1 egg 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup of 1 dissolved beef boullion cube (or a few TBS. of the ready made) 1/2 tsp salt/pepper (optional) 1 cup instant oatmeal 1/2 cup chili sauce
Combine all ingredients (add oatmeal last). If your ball is too wet add more oatmeal. If it's not holding together you added too much oatmeal, try adding another egg. Roll into ball and place in crock pot. Pour chili sauce on top of the ball. Cook for about 6 hours on low. The whole house will smell really good! I place it on a plate and cut it up like a pie and we eat it with ketchup and mashed potatoes.
