Wallis, TX | I got a call from a guy saying he’s from USDA and he’s needing to know who is farming a ‘488 acre block’. The former tenant/owner passed away 3 years ago. He says it’s for statistical purposes. The land is owned by several owners and is now being farmed by at least 4 different operators and some is sold for development.
My question,,,, what’s up with this? Why can’t he look at the FSA? Doesn’t seem legit to me. Anyone know what’s going on or have the same thing happen?
