Subject: Dairy guys?

N.E. MT
Asking on behalf of my wife. Need advice on how to setup a barn for easy milking. Have 5 milk cows that should be calving in April. 2 jersey, 2 half angus half jersey and one other. Id say 2-3 will raise bums and 2-3 will be milked. For just 2 cows is it easier to hand milk, strain ect. Or if we were to fix up the barn what would be the ideal setup? 60 miles to town and 4 kids sucking milk we use 10-12 gallons a week a couple quarts of cream and lots of butter. 3 other families here on the ranch that could use it as well. Want to set it up for her so she can be successful and I understand it’s a long term investment. Not sure how much cleaning a time it takes and it may be easier to just keep hand milking. Feed tmr in the feedlot daily developing replacement heifers and finishing steers so feeding them daily Isn’t an issue. Have a 20x30 uninsulated barn with water in it 10x10 concrete pad in one corner. Any brainy ideas
