Subject: jd 750 drill grass seeder problem

curtice,ohio
i am planting alfalfa through the big box and orchardgrass through the seeder attachment. the seed tubes for the seeder keep plugging. we have cleaned them ,even washed some with soap and water and let dry completly and they still plug. the tubes do not have much bend in them and go directly into the seed cup with the alfalfa .i am seeding approx 10lbs. i had a suggestion of adding talc or graphite and had some graphite so i mixed some in, started to rain so i have not tried this yet. is there something else? have a few acres to go, so would like to correct this for the next time. i prefer to seed with the boxes as i am using them ,but will change if it would be better to run the grass through the big box.
