Subject: Frost seeding alfalfa

Last fall I seeded down a rolling field to alfalfa. The field was in such rough shape that I had to work it down. Shortly after I seeded it we had a rain event and suffered some erosion. Now I have some spots with a whole lot of alfalfa, some spots with a little alfalfa, and some with none. I would like to just go over the field early this spring and broadcast some alfalfa seed like one frosts seeds clover. The universities have conflicting advice. The plants are about 2-3 inches tall, and there was only grass growing before. Has anyone tried this? Did it work? I am in Michigan.
