| It would be a very good use of checkoff funds to get some legal research done to find out which are the controlling patents on RR soybeans so that when those patents expire so farmers can freely save seed.
It might require, though, breeding the RR gene into some soybean lines whose non-GMO germplasm isn't also covered by a utility patent, but there have to be some of those varieties around still.
