I have a 2" GPI meter that I have used to fill my sprayer for the last 30+ years. Run 28% or chemicals with water. Once calibrated I'm not off more than +or- 2gal in 1000 gal batches. Only had to replace batteries once 20 years ago. I made mine with 2" cam-loc on ends so can be put in and out of any hose.
GPI only claims to have an accuracy of 1-1.5% which is 10-15 gallons per 1000. I am assuming you calibrate your applicator based off the flow meter, so one would only hope your meter and your applicator are consistent, this could also make you feel as though your running a fine tuned meter, this possibly isnt the case. I learned this the difficult way once, i try to double check every now and again. |
