Sunnyside, WA | We have a 4840 that has had plenty of work done to the transmission also. Mechanic told me that you need to keep the pressure at th upper end of the specs and also keep the engine up over 1800 rpms when pulling heavy loads.
Our 4840 still pulls a large side dump and runs a 52' Houle agipump, but otherwise it has slowed down a lot. If I have to put much more money into the 4840, it is going away. You could put the $28,000 toward a decent 8000 series tractor and have something a lot nicer to put a 7000 gallon tank with. | |
