I work in a machine shop as well as farm and I have designed and have made several gear holders for any Ag Leader Steady Steer or OnTrac 2,2+, and 3. I made it because I was not happy with the plastic kit that clamps onto the steering wheel I got from Ag Leader. This holder is designed to clamp right to the steering shaft so that it runs true to it allowing the drive motor to not bind which will make the the motor work easier and last longer. I have several made up that will fit a 7/8ths inch diameter steering shaft, but I can make one to work for any size shaft. It is made to split apart just like the gear so you don't have to remove the steering wheel. I have sold many to guys that do not like to stuff that Ag Leader kit as well. I am selling them for $275 which includes the holder and all the necessary screws and shipping. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
